The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that registration for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will begin on Saturday, January 14, and will end on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
The statement was made by the board at the conclusion of its management meeting yesterday, December 20, 2022, when it rolled out several significant dates for its operations in 2023.
The board has set Thursday, March 16, 2023, as the day for its optional mock UTME.

Candidates should be aware that they will be required to pay a N1,000 service charge for CBT centres to conduct mock examinations at the time of registration in order to avoid a situation in which candidates express an interest in sitting the mock-UTME, causing the various centres to commit human and material resources only for them to fail on the day of the examination.
They declare their interest in the new approach by paying for the mock at the time of UTME registration, preventing the centers from suffering any loss whether candidates show up or not.
In addition, after considering its other obligations, the board set Saturday, April 29, 2023, as the date for the 2023 UTME, which is projected to finish on Monday, May 12, 2023.
To prevent being trapped in any subsequent congestion, JAMB encouraged all candidates who wish to register for the 2023 UTME to immediately begin the development of their individual profiles (creation of profile code) prior to the formal start of the registration procedure.
